Set Up a Membership with Commitment
A Membership with Commitment allows you to require customers to remain subscribed for a minimum period before they can cancel. This is ideal for long-term memberships, promotional offers, or contracts that require a fixed commitment.
- From the side menu, navigate to Passes.

- Click Add New Pass.

- Enter the required membership details and Under Pass Type, select Membership.
- Set the Membership Price.
- Choose the Length of Billing Cycle (for example, weekly, monthly, or yearly).
- Specify How Many Billing Cycles This Membership Has (Including the Initial Payment).
- Select Bill Until Cancelled if you want the membership to renew continuously until the customer cancels.
- Alternatively, choose a fixed number of billing cycles if the membership should automatically end after the selected duration.
- Under Billing Day, choose one of the following:
- Same as When the Plan Was Purchased – The customer's billing date will be based on the purchase date.
- On a Set Day of the Month/Week – Charge customers on a fixed billing day. The first payment will be prorated if required.

- Expand the Advanced Settings section.

- Enable Does Membership have a Commitment Period.
- Enter the Commitment Period in billing cycles.

The commitment period is based on the Length of Billing Cycle you selected when creating the membership.
Example:
- If the Length of Billing Cycle is 1 Month and the Commitment Period is set to 1 Cycle, the customer is committed to the membership for 1 month.
- If the Length of Billing Cycle is 1 Month and the Commitment Period is 6 Cycles, the customer is committed for 6 months.
- If the Length of Billing Cycle is 1 Week and the Commitment Period is 4 Cycles, the customer is committed for 4 weeks.
- Click Continue to proceed to the membership configuration page.
- Configure the Membership Credits by choosing whether the membership provides Limited or Unlimited Credits.
- Limited Credits – Members receive a fixed number of credits that can be used during each billing cycle.
- Unlimited Credits – Members can book eligible classes or services without a credit limit.
- If you'd like members to book on behalf of friends or family, enable Allow Guest Booking.
- By default, guest bookings will use the member's available pass credits.
If you want guests to have their own allocation, enable Separate Guest Credits and choose whether to provide:
- Limited Guest Credits – Specify the number of guest credits available.
- Unlimited Guest Credits – Allow unlimited guest bookings without using the member's pass credits.
- Click Submit to create the membership.

Note: The commitment period always follows the billing cycle you have configured. Each commitment cycle is equal to one billing cycle.
