Create and Sell a Product

The Retail module allows you to create products and sell them directly through the Point of Sale (POS). You can configure product details, pricing, categories, tax settings, and images to keep your retail catalog organized and provide a seamless checkout experience.

  • From the side menu, navigate to Retail.

  • Click Create Product.

  • Enter the Product Name.
  • Add a Description to provide additional information about the product.

  • (Optional) Select an existing Category or create a new one to organize your products.

  • Configure the product tax, if applicable:
    • Click Add Tax.
    • Enter the Tax Name.
    • Specify the Tax Rate (%).
    • Enable Price Includes Tax if you want the selling price displayed in the product catalog to already include tax.
    • Click Add Tax.

  • (Optional) Upload a Product Image to make the product easier to identify.

  • Configure the product pricing:
    • Cost Price (Optional) – Enter the cost of purchasing or producing the product. This value is used for profit tracking and is not visible to customers.
    • Selling Price – Enter the price customers will pay for the product.
  • Enable This product has variations to add different variants of a product.
  • Stock – Enter the available quantity of the product. Studio Growth uses this value to help you keep track of your inventory as products are sold.
  • Low Stock Threshold (Optional) – Enter the minimum stock level at which Studio Growth should notify you that the product is running low. This helps you restock your inventory before the product runs out.

Note: To monitor your retail sales performance, navigate to Analytics and search for Retail Revenue by Product. This report provides an overview of the revenue generated by each product, helping you track sales performance and identify your best-selling items. To calculate and view product profit accurately, ensure you've entered a Cost Price when creating the product.
